Opel Meriva A (2006-2010), also sold as the Vauxhall Meriva, uses a 56-position interior fuse box, eight high-current fuse locations in the engine bay and a relay carrier near the windscreen cowl. Optional relays may also be fitted below the driver’s seat. The original 2009 Opel Meriva handbook is the primary reference for the interior and main power circuits. Petrol, Z17DTH diesel, Easytronic and Adaptive Forward Lighting equipment may alter circuit ratings and occupied locations.
This guide preserves all 87 positions from three original fuse/relay tables, including unused locations, all current ratings and four existing photographs and diagrams. Never replace a 7.5 A fuse with a 15 A one simply because both ratings appear as engine-dependent alternatives.
Where are the Meriva A fuse boxes?
Switch the ignition off. Cabin: open the lower dashboard storage/access cover on the driver’s side, release the retaining catch and fold the panel down to reach the blade fuses. Engine: open the bonnet and locate the high-current fuse block close to the battery, under its protective cover. Relays: a separate module is positioned near the windscreen cowl; on selected cars additional relays may be under the driver’s seat. Right-hand-drive Vauxhall access covers may differ, so confirm the vehicle’s fuse legend.

Meriva A 2006-2010 interior fuse positions 1-56
The original chart includes 12 V power outlet and cigarette lighter at 16 (20 A) and a separate cigarette lighter / auxiliary heater circuit at 37 (20 A). Check which socket is inoperative rather than assuming every power outlet shares the same fuse. Other important positions are radio/infotainment 4 and 11, horn 8 (15 A), fuel pump and injection 9 (20 A), rear wiper 25 (15 A), front wipers 34 (30 A), ABS and brake lamps 36 (15 A), and heated seats 38 and 39 (15 A each).

Meriva A 2006-2010 engine compartment high-current fuses 1-8
The eight main positions protect the passenger blower, power steering, ABS, diesel engine preheating / Easytronic, heated rear window, cooling system and starter. The source does not specify reliable ratings for these bolted large fuses; those cells remain “-” instead of using guessed amperages.

|---|---|---|
| 1 | – | Interior heating and ventilation blower |
| 2 | – | Power-assisted steering main supply |
| 3 | – | ABS main electrical supply |

Meriva A 2006-2010 fuse box FAQ
Why are there two power-socket / lighter entries?
The 2006-2010 cabin reference lists position 16 for the power outlet and cigarette lighter and position 37 for the cigarette lighter and auxiliary heater. Identify the failed socket and compare the car’s fuse-card legend.
Which fuse protects the front and rear wipers?
Cabin position 34 (30 A) protects the front wipers, while 25 (15 A) protects the rear wiper.
Where is the fuel pump relay?
The relay carrier near the windscreen cowl lists K4 for the fuel pump and K5 for engine control. The corresponding cabin fuel injection and pump circuit is at position 9.
Do these fuses also fit a Meriva B?
No. The newer Meriva B (2010-2011) and Meriva B (2012-2016) have three different physical fuse-box locations and new circuit numbering.
Use only the manufacturer’s specified fuse ratings and diagnose any repeated failure.
