Opel Zafira B (2005-2014), also marketed as Vauxhall Zafira and later Zafira Family, is the seven-seat second-generation people carrier. Its fuse assignments depend on two electrical installations, type A and type B, identified by the luggage compartment fuse-holder design. You must check which type is present before using either engine-compartment chart. The Zafira Family name on some markets does not make the 2010-on cars a separate electrical generation.
This guide preserves 129 source entries across five tables, including 36 engine type-A fuses, 36 engine type-B fuses, eight luggage type-A fuses, 44 luggage type-B fuses and a five-row quick reference. All six original photographs and diagrams are preserved. The source does not provide verified ampere ratings for the individual positions; a dash is retained rather than guessing values from a different year or holder.
Where are the Opel Zafira B fuse boxes?
Engine bay: turn off the ignition, open the bonnet and find the covered electrical housing at the front left of the engine compartment beside the battery. Open the protective clips and lift the lid. Luggage compartment: open the tailgate, locate the access cover in the left-hand side trim, then push the locking catches and remove the cover. Some vehicles have protective caps over separate fuses. Do not store loose objects behind the electrical compartment cover; refit it securely.

How to identify Zafira B fuse box type A or B
Look first at the rear fuse panel: type A is a smaller eight-position holder, while type B is a full 44-position panel. The engine-bay diagrams for types A and B have different assignments at positions such as 7-13, 16, 19-20, 27-29 and 31-33. Do not use engine type A together with the type-B luggage numbering without verifying that the vehicle’s electrical installation matches.

On type A, key positions include cigarette lighter / front 12 V outlet 36, fuel pump 24, starter 18, front windscreen wipers 14 and 15, rear wiper 31, power steering 29, and ABS 1 and 2. Diesel, air conditioning and gearbox equipment can alter populated circuits. The matching diagram is placed immediately before its complete chart.

Which fuse protects the cigarette lighter?
For the type-A electrical installation: engine compartment 36. For type B: luggage compartment 29. These are two different physical fuse layouts, not alternative fuses in the same car.
Where is the fuel pump fuse?
Engine fuse 24 is the fuel pump entry in both source engine layouts.
Where is the rear window wiper fuse?
Type A: engine fuse 31. Type B: luggage fuse 12.
Does every Zafira Family after 2010 use a different panel?
No. The Family branding does not by itself determine fuse-holder variant. Compare the installed rear panel and the actual owner’s manual.
For the successor generation see the Opel Zafira C Tourer (2014-2015). Its fuse panel layout is entirely different. Never replace a blown fuse with a higher-rated one.
