The 2022 Ford Maverick is the first model year of the P758 compact pickup. It was offered with the 2.5-liter FHEV hybrid system and the 2.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine. Both versions use the same two main fuse-panel locations, although several under-hood positions are Hybrid-specific or depend on equipment.
Below are the locations of both fuse boxes, the complete 2022 fuse tables and a practical list of commonly checked circuits. Always replace a fuse with one of the same amperage rating.
The Maverick uses Ford’s C2 architecture, also used by the 2020 Ford Escape, and both models were available with EcoBoost and hybrid powertrains. Their fuse numbering is not interchangeable, however, so the Escape should be diagnosed using its own year-specific chart.
Where are the fuse boxes in a 2022 Ford Maverick?
Engine-compartment fuse box
Open the hood and look for the black rectangular power distribution box directly beside the 12 V battery and air-filter housing. The top cover is immediately visible. Ford also mounts fuses on the underside of the module; accessing them requires releasing the connector lever, disconnecting the connector, releasing the two retaining tabs, lifting out the box and turning it over. Disconnect the 12 V battery before servicing high-current fuses.

Body Control Module fuse box
The second panel is low in the front passenger footwell, beneath the glove box and close to the firewall. The glove box does not need to be removed. Lower the trim panel above the carpet to expose the Body Control Module fuse box with positions 1-25.

Hybrid models use the same physical 12 V fuse-box locations, but several under-hood positions supply hybrid-specific heating, coolant-pump, DC/DC-converter and power-distribution circuits. These should not be confused with the vehicle’s high-voltage system.

The numbers in the diagram correspond to the positions in the table. A dash indicates a position that Ford lists as unused in the described configuration.

Commonly checked fuses
- Fuel pump: under-hood fuse 81 – 20 A.
- OBD-II / diagnostic connector: fuse 57 – 10 A.
- Radio / audio unit: BCM fuse 23 – 20 A.
- SYNC: BCM fuse 17 – 15 A.
- Audio amplifier: under-hood fuses 24 and 41 – 20 A each, depending on equipment.
- ABS: fuse 19 – 10 A for the module, fuse 49 – 60 A for the pump and fuse 77 – 40 A for the valves.
- Rear-console 12 V outlet: fuse 71 – 20 A.
- Console/media-bin 12 V outlet: fuse 72 – 20 A.
- Pickup-bed 12 V outlet: fuse 84 – 20 A.
- Front wipers: fuse 75 – 30 A.
- Heated steering wheel: fuse 33 – 15 A.
- Starter: fuse 10 – 30 A.
If a replacement fuse blows again immediately, the problem is usually a short circuit, an overloaded circuit or a faulty component. Do not install a higher-amperage fuse.
FAQ – 2022 Ford Maverick fuses
Where is the passenger-compartment fuse box?
Low on the passenger side beneath the glove box, near the firewall. Remove the lower trim panel above the carpet to access the BCM panel.
Where is the under-hood fuse box?
In the engine compartment directly beside the 12 V battery and air-filter housing. Some fuses are mounted on the underside of the module.
Where is the fuel-pump fuse?
Check under-hood fuse 81 – 20 A.
Which fuse protects the radio?
The audio unit is protected by BCM fuse 23 – 20 A. Trucks with an additional amplifier also use the amplifier fuses under the hood.
Where is the OBD-II fuse?
It is under-hood fuse 57 – 10 A.
Do the Hybrid and 2.0 EcoBoost use identical fuse assignments?
The basic fuse-box layout is shared, but several positions are used differently. Hybrid-only circuits in the table include supplemental heating, an electric coolant pump and the DC/DC converter.
Does the 2022 diagram apply to newer Mavericks?
Do not assume full compatibility. Ford changed some assignments and equipment in later model years, so this guide is specific to 2022.
