Ford Freestyle (2005-2007) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Relays

Ford Freestyle was produced from 2004 but entered the market as a 2005 model. For factory fuse information, the correct model-year range is therefore 2005-2007. The historical URL is retained unchanged.

The vehicle has two main fuse boxes: the Smart Junction Box in the cabin and the Power Distribution Box under the hood. Ford revised both boxes for 2006, so a 2005 vehicle should not be serviced using the 2006-2007 tables.

Freestyle shares much of its electrical architecture with the Ford Five Hundred, but the assignments are not fully interchangeable. Freestyle adds circuits for the rear wiper, rear climate control and hatchback-specific equipment.

Fuse-box locations

Smart Junction Box: below the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. Power Distribution Box: in the engine compartment.

Ford Freestyle 2006-2007 – Smart Junction Box

Ford changed the passenger-compartment numbering for 2006. Do not transfer fuse numbers from the 2005 table simply because the physical panel looks similar.

FAQ – Ford Freestyle fuses

Why are the 2005 and 2006-2007 tables separate?

Ford changed both the cabin fuse numbering and the under-hood power distribution box for 2006.

Where is the cigarette-lighter fuse?

In 2005 it is cabin position 12 – 20 A. In 2006-2007 it is F9 – 20 A.

Where is the fuel-pump fuse?

In 2005 the pump circuit is position 28 – 15 A under the hood. In 2006-2007 it moves to position 27 – 15 A.

Which fuses protect the rear and front wipers on 2006-2007 cars?

Position 45 – 30 A protects the front wiper/washer and position 47 – 25 A the rear wiper/washer.
