Mercury Grand Marquis (1998-2002) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Relays

Mercury Grand Marquis 1998-2002 uses an engine-compartment power distribution box, an auxiliary relay box and a passenger-compartment fuse panel. The cabin layout changed after 2000, so the 1998-2000 and 2001-2002 panels are shown separately.

For the following generation, use the Mercury Grand Marquis 2003-2011 guide. Although both generations use Ford’s Panther architecture, the fuse numbering is not interchangeable.

FAQ – Mercury Grand Marquis 1998-2002 fuses

Why are there two cabin fuse-panel tables?

The passenger-compartment fuse panel changed after model year 2000, so the earlier and later layouts are kept separate.

Where is the fuel-pump fuse?

The main under-hood fuel-pump circuit is position 1 – 20 A. The auxiliary relay box contains fuel-pump relay R2.

Where is the cigarette-lighter fuse?

Position 16 – 20 A on 1998-2000 cars and position 25 – 20 A on 2001-2002 cars.
