The Opel GT (2007-2009) is a rear-wheel-drive two-seater roadster powered by the turbocharged 2.0 ECOTEC petrol engine. It uses two fuse boxes: one behind trim by the passenger footwell and another under the bonnet. These tables retain 28 interior and 47 engine compartment entries with their original ampere ratings, including spare and unassigned slots.
This is the Opel GT roadster from 2007-2009, not the classic earlier Opel GT or an Opel Tigra. Some older online drawings have incorrectly labelled this model as Tigra GT. Even though the Opel GT shares GM Kappa architecture with the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice, always follow the Opel GT fuse numbering for your vehicle.
Where are the Opel GT fuse boxes?
Passenger compartment: behind a floor-carpet and trim panel at the passenger’s feet, beneath the dashboard. Carefully fold back the carpet near the upper footwell and release the fuse cover from its retaining fasteners. Do not put loose objects behind the trim, as they could damage wiring.
Engine compartment: the main front electrical box has a cover held by two clips. Switch off the ignition before opening it and refit it securely to protect the fuse and relay contacts.

All 28 numbered positions are retained, even where the source lists a spare fuse or unused location. The cabin includes audio, radio, airbags, power windows, locking and wiper/washer switching. Cabin position 14 (10 A) serves the wiper stalk circuit, while the main wiper supply is protected separately under the bonnet.

Turbocharger and variable valve timing control: engine position 30 (10 A). Brake vacuum pump: engine 24 (20 A). Fuel pump: engine 9 (15 A).
Common Opel GT fuse problems
12 V accessory socket: engine fuse 21 (20 A). Radio: cabin 23 (15 A), with a separate factory audio amplifier on cabin 5 (20 A) when fitted.
Starter CRANK circuit: engine 4 (30 A). If the engine cranks but will not start, engine 9 (15 A) protects the fuel pump, and engine 28 (15 A) and 29 (20 A) supply engine-related controllers; ignition coils use engine 33 (15 A).
Windscreen wipers: passenger fuse 14 (10 A) covers stalk controls, while the main under-bonnet motor feed is 39 (25 A). Horn: engine 36 (15 A). Left dipped beam: engine 44 (10 A); right dipped beam: engine 43 (10 A). High beams are engine 38 (driver side) and 42 (passenger side), rated 10 A each.
Only use the original fuse type and ampere rating. A repeatedly blown fuse indicates an electrical fault that needs diagnosis rather than a stronger replacement.
Opel GT versus related GM Kappa roadsters
The Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice share a platform with the Opel GT, but their engine and market specifications can differ, so their fuse tables should not be treated as identical. The much newer Opel Insignia B fuse guide covers a different Opel generation and a completely separate electrical system.
For another European vehicle from the same general period but a different manufacturer, compare the Peugeot 207 2006-2008 fuse box layouts. Position numbers are not transferable between cars.
Opel GT fuse box FAQ
Where is the interior fuse box?
Behind trim at the passenger’s feet, beneath the dashboard.
Which fuse supplies the 12 V power outlet?
Engine-compartment position 21 (20 A).
Where is the radio fuse?
Interior position 23 (15 A); the optional factory amplifier is on position 5 (20 A).
Which fuse controls the windscreen wipers?
Cabin 14 (10 A) serves controls and under-bonnet 39 (25 A) serves the main wiper circuit.
Can I use a Saturn Sky fuse diagram?
Not without verifying exact equipment. Shared vehicle architecture does not ensure every Opel GT fuse has the same assignment.
