Mercury Sable 1986-1995 covers the first two generations of the Sable. The electrical system uses a passenger-compartment fuse panel and an under-hood high-current fuse box. Several cabin assignments changed during production, especially from 1993 onward.

FAQ – Mercury Sable 1986-1995 fuses
Why is cabin position 4 listed twice?
The rating changed from 15 A on 1986-1992 cars to 20 A on 1993-1995 cars while serving the exterior-lighting circuit.
Where is the cigarette-lighter fuse?
For 1986-1992, check cabin position 12 – 20 A. Factory tables for 1993-1995 do not list that position the same way, so match the vehicle year before replacing a fuse.
