Renault Clio IV (X98, 2015-2016) is a fourth-generation European supermini sold with TCe petrol and dCi diesel engines. It has protection in the cabin and in the engine compartment. The original owner’s fuse illustration and the 35 listed cabin assignments are reproduced here, including the circuits for the cigarette lighter, radio, horn, central locking and windscreen wipers.
Important rating note: the manufacturer circuit overview for the documented 2015-2016 cabin layout does not confirm universal amperages across all equipment and engine versions. The rating column therefore retains dashes rather than inventing values. A dash does not mean that a position is unoccupied. Check the installed fuse before replacing it.
Where are the Renault Clio IV fuse boxes?
Passenger compartment: behind the lower driver’s-side dashboard panel, to the left of the steering wheel on left-hand-drive cars. Turn off the ignition before releasing the panel cover and compare the circuit labels with the vehicle’s original legend.
Engine compartment: an additional box protects engine control, starter and cooling systems. Its fuse and relay arrangements depend on the installed 0.9 TCe, 1.2 TCe or 1.5 dCi engine. The source does not provide a validated universal position-by-position engine fuse table, so none has been fabricated here.
Renault Clio IV 2015-2016 – cabin fuse box
The table provides 35 numbered positions and their factory-described functions. Number 35 is not included in this source listing; the final documented entry is position 36. Do not interpret gaps in a general circuit list as proof that a particular fuse socket is empty in every Clio.

Clio IV under-bonnet fuses and relays
The engine compartment contains additional protection for the fuel system, starter, injection controller, radiator fan and other powertrain circuits. Exact fuse numbers can differ between petrol and diesel configurations; always consult a vehicle-specific handbook or workshop diagram rather than using Clio V engine fuse values.
Clio IV cigarette lighter, radio, horn and locking fuses
Cigarette lighter / front 12 V socket: dashboard position 17. Radio, multimedia and diagnostic connector: dashboard position 18. Horn: dashboard position 15.
Central locking: dashboard positions 11 and 32 are associated with the locks and body control functions. Reversing lamps and rear wiper: position 27, with possible related circuits on position 23. Injection, engine starting and fuel pump: cabin 22 is listed as a related control supply.
Because this model-year overview does not publish consistent current ratings, read the amperage printed on the existing fuse and check the manufacturer’s vehicle-specific documentation before replacement.
Clio IV, Clio V and other Renault models
The later Renault Clio V has different fuse architecture and identifies the cigarette lighter as cabin position 30 (15 A) in its documented 2020 configuration. These positions must not be transferred to the fourth generation.
The related Renault Captur II is also a newer electrical system; its fuse positions are not a substitute for the older Clio IV.
Renault Clio IV 2015-2016 fuse box FAQ
Which position supplies the cigarette lighter?
Cabin fuse position 17 in the documented 2015-2016 circuit list.
Where is the radio fuse?
Cabin position 18 is listed for the radio, multimedia and diagnostics connector.
Where is the horn fuse?
Cabin position 15. If the fuse is intact, check the horn and its controls.
Why are ampere ratings shown as dashes?
The source does not confirm one universal amperage for every engine and trim. Inspect the original fuse and vehicle-specific panel legend.
