The fifth-generation Renault Clio V (BJA/BF, 2019-2022) is a European supermini offered with TCe petrol, Blue dCi diesel, LPG and E-Tech hybrid powertrains. It has passenger-compartment and under-bonnet fuse panels. The assignments below reproduce a documented 2020 configuration with 25 identified cabin fuses, five named relays and 13 engine-compartment fuses.
The numbered cabin list includes only circuits whose positions and current ratings were identified in that source; missing position numbers do not imply empty sockets in every car. Because the Clio V layout depends on model year, engine, trim and market, compare the actual fuse box diagram before service. E-Tech hybrid high-voltage hardware must never be opened while checking ordinary fuses.
Where are the Renault Clio V fuse boxes?
Inside: the owner’s handbook describes access covers A and B, plus an additional access point C near the glovebox, depending on equipment. Switch the ignition off and remove the correct cover to inspect the fuse chart. Do not assume that all trim variants have the same fuse holder.
Under the bonnet: distribution unit D holds front-compartment fuses. Access to some fuses is restricted, and Renault recommends workshop servicing for certain protection elements. Do not disassemble high-voltage components on an E-Tech model.
Renault Clio V 2020 – cabin fuse positions
The table retains the 25 individually identified positions in the 2020 reference with their ampere ratings. These protect body controls, lighting, infotainment, electric parking brake, heated rear window, accessory sockets and window motors.

| Position | Rating [A] / type | Protected circuit / function |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 15 | Rear position lights, exterior mirrors, front indicators and towbar module |
| 5 | 15 | Rear door central locking, tailgate lock and third brake light |
| 6 | 10 | Body Control Module (BCM) |
| 8 | 15 | Turn indicators and hazard warning lights |
| 9 | 15 | Body Control Module (BCM), second feed |
| 10 | 30 | Electric parking brake controller |
| 14 | 5 | Body Control Module (BCM), auxiliary supply |

Renault Clio V – cabin relay assignments
Letters A, B, F, G and H refer to relays, not blade fuses. Availability can depend on equipment; a Clio without a heated steering wheel may not have the corresponding relay installed.
| Position | Rating [A] / type | Protected circuit / function |
|---|---|---|
| A | Relay | Battery power cut during engine starting |
| B | Relay | Retained accessory power supply with delay |
| F | Relay | Heated rear window |
| G | Relay | Horn |
| H | Relay | Heated steering wheel, if equipped |
Renault Clio V 2020 – engine compartment fuse box
This particular front box documents positions F2-F15 with selected numbers omitted. The original descriptions ACTUATOR 1-5 are generic engine injection-control groups. They have not been replaced by speculative names for sensors or solenoids.

| Position | Rating [A] / type | Protected circuit / function |
|---|---|---|
| F2 | 30 | ABS system valves |
| F3 | 20 | Fuel pump |
| F4 | 15 | Injection controller, ACTUATOR 1 circuit |
| F5 | 15 | Injection controller, ACTUATOR 2 circuit |
| F6 | 15 | Injection controller, ACTUATOR 3 circuit |
| F7 | 15 | Injection controller, ACTUATOR 4 circuit |
| F8 | 15 | Injection controller, ACTUATOR 5 circuit |
| F9 | 30 | Front windscreen wipers |
| F10 | 10 | Windscreen washer pump |
| F11 | 10 | Automatic transmission, if fitted |
| F12 | 10 | Airbag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) controller |
| F13 | 10 | Neutral/reversing sensor, fuel heating control or reverse relay, depending on version |
| F15 | 5 | Engine Control Module (ECM) |
Which fuse should I check for common problems?
Front cigarette lighter or 12 V socket: cabin position 30 (15 A). Luggage compartment 12 V socket: cabin position 31 (15 A). These are separate accessory power circuits in the documented layout.
Radio: cabin 19 (15 A), with optional amplifier on 23 (30 A). Horn: cabin 29 (20 A), plus relay G. Heated rear window: cabin 35 (40 A) and relay F.
Front windscreen wipers: engine-compartment F9 (30 A). Washer pump: cabin 32 (10 A) and front F10 (10 A), depending on the affected feed. Engine starting: front F3 (20 A) for the fuel pump and F15 (5 A) for the Engine Control Module on relevant powertrain variants.
A repeated blown fuse may indicate damaged wiring, a defective motor or a shorted accessory. Replace only with the original type and rating, not a higher-rated fuse.
Differences between Clio IV, Clio V and related Renault models
The 2020 fuse list is not universal for every Clio V, particularly later E-Tech variants and different engines. Its related crossover, the Renault Captur II, has similar but not identical fuse assignments. The earlier Renault Clio IV can use a different cigarette-lighter fuse position, so do not transfer its numbers to a fifth-generation car.
For the fully battery-electric Renault model, consult the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric fuse guide. It uses a distinct electrical layout and its fuse positions are not interchangeable with the Clio.
Renault Clio V fuse box FAQ
Which fuse supplies the front 12 V socket?
