The Skoda Scala (2019-2020) is a compact hatchback built on the Volkswagen Group MQB A0 platform. Its electrical protection includes a fuse panel behind a small driver’s-side dashboard storage compartment and a second fuse box next to the battery under the bonnet. This guide covers 61 cabin positions and 28 documented engine-compartment positions.
The original 2019-2020 reference includes two separate 12 V outlet assignments, one for the front socket and one for the luggage compartment. The manufacturer’s fuse list used for these tables gives functions but not individual amperage ratings. Therefore no missing ratings have been invented. Check the original fuse and fuse-box label for your particular car.
Where are the Skoda Scala fuse boxes?
Cabin fuse panel: behind a small compartment on the driver’s side of the dashboard. Open the compartment, release its catches and remove it as described in the owner’s manual. The panel protects infotainment, lighting, heated equipment, door electrics, USB and 12 V accessory sockets.
Engine compartment: the front power distribution box sits by the vehicle battery. Press the two lid catches and lift the cover. After inspection refit it securely to keep moisture out of the fuse box.

This panel contains the engine controller, radiator fan, fuel system, stability control, starter, automatic transmission, SCR/AdBlue on applicable diesels and additional electric heating. The manufacturer’s list covers numbers 1-29 but does not assign position 26, so exactly 28 positions are documented.

Petrol engines such as the 1.0 and 1.5 TSI and diesel versions such as the 1.6 TDI may have different occupied locations. Do not assume that engine, fuel pump or SCR fuses exist in every car.
Which fuse protects the 12 V sockets, USB ports or wipers?
Front 12 V accessory socket: cabin position 52. 12 V luggage compartment socket: cabin position 54. Rear USB ports: cabin position 50. The correct ampere rating must be read from the vehicle-specific fuse label or original part.
Infotainment: cabin positions 19 and 24; cars with a separate amplifier may also use position 3. Front windscreen wipers: positions 18 and 45; washer controls: 14 and 58, depending on the circuit. Rear wiper: position 43.
Horn: cabin 36. Heated rear window: cabin 20. Heated door mirrors and washer nozzles: cabin 59. For an engine starting fault, check the documented engine-bay positions 1, 4, 8, 17 and 18 according to the installed engine.
Skoda Scala, Kamiq and other Skoda fuse layouts
The Scala and Skoda Kamiq have related MQB A0 electrical architectures, but the equipment and fuse population differ by model, year, trim, market and drivetrain. The two schematic image files originate from a shared Scala/Kamiq family of diagrams. Always check the actual fuse box cover rather than assuming matching circuit assignments solely from the image shape.
For the small city car, use the Skoda Citigo 2012 fuse box diagrams. For another Skoda model with completely different electrics, see the Skoda Enyaq electric SUV fuse diagrams. For a different European hatchback, the Dacia Sandero II fuse guide covers another generation and electrical architecture.
Skoda Scala 2019-2020 fuse box FAQ
Where is the cabin fuse box?
Behind the small driver’s-side dashboard compartment, accessible after releasing the compartment catches.
Which fuse position serves the front cigarette lighter?
Dashboard position 52 in the documented 2019-2020 layout.
Which fuse protects the 12 V luggage compartment socket?
Dashboard position 54. It is a separate assignment from the front socket.
Does the Skoda Kamiq use exactly the same fuses?
Not necessarily. Shared panel drawings are not proof of identical fitment, and the assignment depends on equipment and production specification.
Do not install a higher-rated replacement fuse or bridge a fuse socket. The correct current rating must be obtained from the car’s original fuse and manufacturer label.
