Volkswagen T-Cross C1 (2019-2023) is a compact SUV based on the Volkswagen Group MQB A0 platform. The fuse installation comprises the passenger compartment fuse panel with 61 positions, engine fuse panel with 28 positions and a six-position high-current supply block by the battery. Petrol TSI, diesel TDI and equipment variants do not always populate the same slots.
All 95 original source rows across three tables and three diagrams are preserved here. The source does not provide universal amperage for the 61 interior or 28 engine fuses, so those ratings remain marked “-” instead of being guessed. The battery block does contain explicitly listed high-current values. Do not install a fuse into a position labelled unused simply because a number or current appears in a general diagram.
Where are the Volkswagen T-Cross fuse boxes?
Cabin: below the driver’s dashboard behind the access cover. Engine compartment: in a protective electrical housing near the battery. High-current block: immediately by the battery, separately numbered 1-6. Switch off the ignition before accessing panels; high-current main power protection requires qualified service.

T-Cross high-current battery fuse block 1-6
The separately numbered main fuse block includes alternator position 1 (350 A), engine fuse box power at 3 (150 A), dashboard feeds 4 (80 A) and 5 (125 A) and power steering supply 6 (80 A). Position 2 is labelled unused even though the source assigns an 80 A value; that is not a recommendation to fit a fuse to an empty socket.

| Position | Rating [A] | Protected circuit / function |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 350 | Alternator charging supply |
| 2 | 80 | Unused position; the source nevertheless gives an 80 A value |
| 3 | 150 | Engine compartment fuse box main power feed |
| 4 | 80 | Dashboard fuse box secondary supply |
| 5 | 125 | Dashboard fuse box primary supply |
| 6 | 80 | Electric power steering high-current feed |
T-Cross common electrical fuse checks
For a dead cigarette lighter or 12 V socket, check cabin F55, disconnect connected devices and inspect the socket. If the radio or touchscreen stops working, inspect F19 and F24. For the rear wiper check F43; for washer pumps F58; for the horn F36. These are circuit positions only; the source does not confirm an ampere value for all versions.
The T-Cross shares a platform family with the Volkswagen Polo VI AW (2017-2020) and the SEAT Ibiza V (2018), but the fuse installations and ratings are not directly interchangeable. Confirm the year and equipment rather than copying a similar model’s fuse.
VW T-Cross 2019-2023 fuse box FAQ
Which fuse controls the 12 V socket?
Passenger compartment F55 in the documented installation.
Where is the main power steering fuse?
Battery distribution position 6, rated 80 A in the source. High-current repairs require specialist procedures.
Which fuse protects the starter?
Engine compartment position F18, with the correct rating depending on the vehicle.
Can I use a VW Polo VI fuse chart?
No. The two cars have related electrical components but their actual fuse-box population and protection must be checked separately.
Use only the factory specified fuse type and amperage; do not bridge fuses or increase ratings to bypass repeated failures.
