The Citroen DS5 has a main fuse box in the lower dashboard and another module in the engine compartment next to the battery. The information below covers vehicles from 2011 to 2018, including later examples sold under the DS brand as the DS 5.
On this model it is particularly important to distinguish the early and later passenger-compartment fuse tables. Documentation from the beginning of production describes F16 and F17 differently from manuals issued from 2013 onward. The other main user-serviceable positions – including F13, F14, F30 and the F20-F28 fuses under the hood – remain consistent across the manuals compared.
We do not publish one complete list of every internal BSI/BSM module position as a do-it-yourself replacement table. Citroen explicitly warns that replacing a fuse not listed in the manufacturer’s user table can cause a serious electrical-system fault. The information below therefore focuses mainly on circuits intended by the manufacturer to be identified by the vehicle owner.

Citroen DS5 fuse box locations
On left-hand-drive cars, the passenger compartment fuse box is located in the lower left-hand part of the dashboard. After removing the cover, you can access the fuses and the fuse-removal tweezers.
On right-hand-drive versions, access is from the passenger glove-box side.
The second fuse box is located in the engine compartment, close to the battery. After checking the fuses, close the cover securely – the manufacturer specifically notes that the module must remain properly sealed.
The DS5 belongs to the same model family as the Citroen DS4, but the fuse layout is not identical. For example, the DS4 has an additional F36-F40 fuse box that should not be transferred to the DS5 diagram.
Passenger compartment fuse box diagram
The drawing below shows the fuse module itself. The numbers are much clearer than on a full owner’s manual page, and the diagram does not contain a competing website’s watermark.
The drawing includes positions F6A/F6B, F13, F14, F16, F17, F28A/F28B, F30 and F32.
The “A or B” marking for F6 and F28 does not mean there are always two fuses that must be checked together. The manufacturer lists these as F6 A or B and F28 A or B because the exact location depends on the fuse-box variant and audio-system configuration.

Passenger compartment fuse box – 2013-2018 configuration
From the 2013 model-year documentation onward, the descriptions for F16 and F17 change. The remaining user-serviceable positions stay the same.

The 2014, 2015 and 2016 manuals, as well as later DS 5 documentation, retain the arrangement in which F16 3 A is assigned to the rear map-reading lights and F17 3 A to the sun-visor vanity mirror light.
For diagnosing power sockets, F13 and F14 are the most important positions. F13 10 A protects the front cigarette lighter and front 12 V socket, while F14 10 A protects the rear 12 V socket.
Engine compartment fuse box
The module is located next to the battery. The clean diagram below shows the fuse box itself and makes positions F20, F21, F22, F23, F24, F27 and F28 easy to identify.

F27 and F28 deserve particular attention. The original English documentation uses the term “lamp mask”, so these positions should not automatically be described as ordinary low-beam bulb fuses. They are associated with the shutter/control system of the corresponding headlight.
F23 and F24, by contrast, are clearly assigned to the high-beam headlights – right and left respectively.

This distinction is more important than the external appearance of the two fuse boxes suggests. The modules can look virtually identical while the documentation assigns F16 and F17 to different consumers.
As with the facelifted DS3, DS5 diagnosis should take account of production year and equipment rather than relying only on the appearance of the fuse-box housing.
Other fuses, relays and modules
The physical DS5 fuse boxes contain more positions than the owner’s manual table. This applies to both the passenger-compartment module and the power-distribution boxes in the engine bay. Service documentation includes additional fuses related to systems such as engine management, ABS/ESP, central locking, power steering, air conditioning and the Hybrid4 electrical system.
That does not mean one extended table will be correct for every DS5. Additional fuse population depends on engine, transmission version, equipment, market and the exact BSI/BSM variant.
Before working on fuses that are not listed in the manufacturer’s user tables, identify the electrical-system variant by VIN and use the matching service documentation. This is particularly important for high-current fuses and the DS5 Hybrid4 installation.
