The Kia EV6 CV, introduced in 2021, is an electric vehicle with standard 12 V electrical protection in the passenger compartment and under the bonnet, as well as a separate high-voltage traction system. This guide reproduces the 2022 Kia EV6 fuse and relay assignments: 48 passenger compartment positions, 31 main front-compartment fuses, 15 PCB block entries and 9 relays.
Depending on market, trim and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) specification, certain circuits may not be fitted. Later model years, especially updated versions, can have different fuse arrangements. Always compare the exact marking and amperage with the diagram on your vehicle’s fuse box lid.
Where are the Kia EV6 fuse boxes?
Inside the vehicle: the fuse panel is behind a removable lower dashboard cover on the driver’s side. Press POWER to turn the vehicle off, wait until the READY indicator is off, then open the panel carefully. The lid carries the manufacturer’s fuse names and ratings.
Front compartment: the main low-voltage fuse and relay box is under a plastic cover near the 12 V battery. It contains normal fuses, high-current multi-fuses, a PCB block and relays. Release the lid clips and identify the correct position using the lid label.
Electric vehicle safety: never open high-voltage covers or touch orange traction-system cables. High-voltage protection and some charging equipment require specially trained service personnel and must not be confused with ordinary user-accessible 12 V blade fuses.

EV6 RWD versus AWD, 2022 and later years
The AWD drivetrain requires a front traction inverter and oil pump not necessarily present on RWD vehicles. Some entries also depend on equipment such as a sunroof, heated seats or vehicle-to-load (V2L) power supply. Check the precise variant rather than assuming every listed fuse is installed.
The Kia EV6 is closely related to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 NE through the E-GMP platform, but their 12 V fuse layouts and options should not be treated as interchangeable. The Kia XCeed CD uses a different drivetrain and fuse arrangement.
What if the EV6 12 V power outlet, USB or washers stop working?
Disconnect the powered accessory before inspecting a fuse. The front 12 V outlet uses P/OUTLET2 (20 A); the rear outlet uses P/OUTLET3 (20 A). If both fail, the main P/OUTLET1 supply or its relay may need checking.
USB CHARGER (15 A) is in the cabin panel. The WASHER (15 A) cabin fuse supplies the windshield washers, while PCB WIPER1 (25 A) and WIPER2 (7.5 A) protect wiper circuits. If a replacement fuse fails repeatedly, investigate the attached load and wiring. Never fit a higher-rated fuse or bridge the contacts.
Kia EV6 fuse box FAQ
Which fuses supply the 12 V accessory sockets?
Front P/OUTLET2 (20 A), rear P/OUTLET3 (20 A), with P/OUTLET1 (40 A) supplying the outlet relay circuit in the specified 2022 layout.
Where is the USB charger fuse?
USB CHARGER, rated 15 A, in the passenger compartment fuse panel.
Are EV6 RWD and AWD fuse allocations identical?
Not in every position. AWD versions can have an additional front inverter and oil pump; compare against the fitted drivetrain and cover label.
Can I replace fuses in the high-voltage traction system?
No. High-voltage enclosures, charging hardware and orange cables are not intended for ordinary DIY fuse service. Refer those systems to an EV-qualified workshop.
