Kia Sorento MQ4 (2025) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Relays

The 2025 Kia Sorento MQ4 is the updated fourth-generation SUV. In combustion-engine versions, the main fuse locations are the driver’s-side cabin panel and the engine compartment power distribution box, including its PCB block and main relays.

Fuse positions vary with engine, equipment and country. These tables reproduce the 2025 combustion-engine manufacturer’s assignments. Hybrid (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) models have additional protection and different electrical systems. Check the fuse label fitted to the actual vehicle before testing or replacing any fuse.

Where are the 2025 Kia Sorento fuse boxes?

Passenger compartment: behind the lower dashboard trim on the driver’s side. Switch the ignition off, remove the fuse access cover and read the diagram on its inner surface.

Engine compartment: beneath the bonnet next to the battery. The protected power distribution assembly includes main fuses, PCB circuits and relays. Release the lid clips carefully, confirm the fuse label and refit the cover tightly when finished.

Engine compartment relays

The relay-type column records the original MICRO or MINI case designation rather than an amperage value.

Position Relay type Protected circuit / function
Start Relay MICRO Starter motor
Fuel Pump Relay MICRO Fuel pump
PTC Heater Relay MICRO PTC heater
Blower Relay MINI Cabin blower
Rear Heated Relay MICRO Rear window defogger
E-CVVT Relay MICRO E-CVVT system
Vacuum Pump Relay MICRO Vacuum pump

12 V power outlets, USB, trailer and 4WD

The luggage compartment 12 V outlet is protected by POWER OUTLET1 (20 A), while POWER OUTLET2 (20 A) covers the outlet at the rear of the centre console. USB CHARGER (15 A) is a separate cabin fuse for USB charging ports.

Trailer equipment has three documented under-hood feeds: TRAILER1 (50 A), TRAILER2 (20 A) and TRAILER3 (20 A). The cabin 4WD fuse (20 A) serves the four-wheel-drive controller. If towing equipment stops working, inspect the affected circuit and trailer harness rather than assuming that one fuse supplies all trailer systems.

See the related 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe MX5 fuse diagrams or the 2025 Kia Sportage NQ5 fuse guide. Their layouts are not interchangeable with the Sorento.

Kia Sorento MQ4 2025 FAQ

Which fuse powers the fuel pump?

FUEL PUMP (20 A) is in the engine compartment. In the PCB block, SENSOR5 (10 A) also includes the fuel pump relay and engine controller.

Which fuses protect the 12 V sockets?

POWER OUTLET1 (20 A) supplies the luggage compartment socket; POWER OUTLET2 (20 A) supplies the rear centre console outlet.

Where should I check the four-wheel-drive fuse?

The 4WD fuse (20 A) is in the cabin. If it is intact, faults may still lie in the wiring, sensors or drivetrain control module.

Can I use this table for Sorento 2025 HEV or PHEV?

No. These tables describe the combustion-engine model. Hybrid powertrains have their own equipment and high-voltage protection, requiring matching vehicle-specific documentation.
