Mercury Sable (2008-2009) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Relays

Mercury Sable 2008-2009 was the final generation of the large Mercury sedan carrying the Sable name. It replaced the Mercury Montego 2005-2007 for model year 2008, in parallel with Ford renaming the Five Hundred as the Taurus.

Electrically, the 2008 and 2009 cars are closely related. The tables below retain the complete passenger-compartment panel and under-hood power distribution box, including unused positions, diodes and relays.

The closely related Ford Taurus 2008-2009 uses a very similar architecture, but model-specific assignments should still be checked against the Sable table.

Fuse-box locations

Passenger compartment: below the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. Engine compartment: the power distribution box contains high-current fuses and relays for the PCM, starter, ABS/AdvanceTrac, fuel pump, cooling fan, blower and power outlets.
