Skoda Octavia II 1Z (2004-2013) – Fuse Box Diagrams

Skoda Octavia II (1Z / A5, 2004-2013) uses a 49-position dashboard fuse box at the driver’s side, a second 30-position engine compartment fuse box and several possible under-dashboard relay holders. Petrol and diesel engines, DSG/automatic gearboxes and different electrical options may have different installed fuses.

All 79 source fuse entries in two complete tables and ten original electrical illustrations are retained. This is a reference for the documented configurations, not a universal rating for every 2004-2013 vehicle. Use the car’s cover and the model-year manual before changing a fuse.

Where are the Octavia II fuse boxes?

Cabin: behind the side dashboard cover exposed when the driver’s door is open. Additional relay carriers are behind the lower dashboard trim. Engine bay: on the left side under a protective cover near the 12 V battery. The relay diagrams may vary by engine and equipment.

On certain cars, a supplementary blower thermal fuse is located outside the ordinary fuse panel.

Octavia II engine compartment fuses 1-30

The under-bonnet unit protects the ABS module, engine control, front wipers, horn, starter, headlights and supplementary heating. Wipers: position 19 (30 A). Horn: 17 (15 A). Starter: 28 (40 A). ABS: positions 4 and 16 (30 A each). The terminal X feed at 30 (50 A) disconnects certain consumers while cranking.

Cigarette lighter, washers and fuel pump diagnosis

For a failed 12 V socket, check cabin fuse 24 (15 A) and inspect the socket for shorting. Washer failures may involve cabin fuse 42 (15 A) or a pump/relay fault. For engine starting problems, cabin fuse 27 (15 A) is a fuel pump relay/injector feed, but not every no-start condition indicates a fuse fault.

Compare fuse arrangements in the Skoda Octavia I / Tour, Skoda Octavia III and Skoda Octavia IV; their fuse assignments differ.

Octavia II fuse box FAQ

Where is the cigarette lighter fuse?

Dashboard fuse 24, rated 15 A in the documented layout.

Where is the windscreen washer fuse?

Dashboard fuse 42 (15 A).

Where is the front wiper fuse?

Engine fuse 19 (30 A).

Why are there multiple relay drawings?

Several physical relay carrier types were fitted depending on vehicle configuration and production date.

Fit only the fuse type and rating specified by the manufacturer. Repeated fuse failure requires diagnosing the circuit instead of installing a larger fuse.
