Volkswagen Passat B7 (2010-2015) has several distinct fuse and relay holders. The main interior fuse panel C (SC) is at the driver’s side of the dashboard, while the right-side fuse holder D (SD), rear luggage carrier F (SF), engine-bay E-box B (SB), high-current block A (SA) and additional relay holders protect separate circuits.
The original reference contains 214 table entries in 11 sections, including fuse assignments, unused positions, engine-specific amperage variants and relay positions. Three internal section rows are relay headings rather than actual fuse positions. The E-box “low” and “high” diagrams are not interchangeable. Technical service documentation distinguishes production revisions from November 2010, November 2011 and May 2012; confirm VIN, engine code and installed equipment before choosing a fuse.
Where are the Passat B7 fuse boxes?
Switch the ignition off. SC: open the driver’s door and remove the plastic dashboard side cover. SD: open the passenger-side dashboard end cover. SB and SA: release the fuse-box cover next to the 12 V battery in the engine compartment, then determine whether your vehicle uses E-box low or high. SF: remove the left rear luggage compartment side trim. Relays: below the driver’s dashboard and, in certain configurations, beneath the E-box. Right-hand-drive installation may differ.

Passat B7 common fuse faults and FAQ
Where is the cigarette lighter fuse?
In this source, SC41 (20 A) is the cigarette lighter and rear cigarette lighter circuit. The separate 12 V socket is SC42 (15 A). Check both the sockets and the installed fuse chart; these two circuits are not identical.
Where is the front windscreen wiper fuse?
In the E-box low configuration, front wiper control is SB22 (30 A). In the E-box high version it is SB31 (30 A). Select the installed E-box type before looking up the position.
Where is the horn fuse?
The engine compartment SB3 (20 A) on E-box low or SB5 (20 A) on E-box high protects the dual-tone horn in the documented chart.
Why do some rows have multiple amperage values?
These entries preserve vehicle production, petrol/diesel and equipment-specific ratings, plus source footnote markers. Never fit a different fuse just because a higher alternative appears.
What about high-current electrical distribution?
The SA tables show separate main alternator, steering, fan and cabin fuse feeds for E-box low/high. High-current protection requires proper diagnostic and service procedures.

Use the precise factory-specified fuse amperage and correct physical type. A repeatedly blown fuse requires circuit diagnosis rather than a larger fuse.
