Ford Expedition (2007-2008) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Relays

The 2007-2008 Ford Expedition has two main fuse locations: a passenger-compartment panel on the passenger side and an engine-compartment power distribution box. Both model years belong to the third generation, but Ford changed several circuits between 2007 and 2008.

For the preceding generation, use the Ford Expedition 2003-2006 guide. For later third-generation vehicles, use the Ford Expedition 2009-2014 tables.

Passenger-compartment fuse panel

The panel is below the right-hand side of the dashboard. Remove the passenger-side trim panel, then release the fuse-box cover latches.

Engine-compartment power distribution box

The under-hood box contains high-current fuses and relays for major vehicle systems. Disconnect the battery before servicing high-current fuses.

Differences between 2007 and 2008

The most important changes concern optional equipment in the cabin panel and two high-current under-hood circuits. In 2007, cabin position 11 supplies 4×4, position 13 is used for folding mirrors/DSP, and positions 16 and 33 are tied to the electric parking brake. Those positions are spare in the 2008 source configuration. Under the hood, trailer-brake fuse 5 changes from 40 A to 30 A, while air-suspension-pump fuse 39 changes from 50 A to 60 A.

Commonly checked fuses

  • Cigarette lighter: position 52 – 20 A under the hood.
  • Rear console outlet: position 10 – 20 A.
  • Dashboard / console outlet: position 41 – 20 A.
  • Cargo-area outlet: position 51 – 20 A.
  • Fuel pump: relay 18 and fuse 32 – 20 A.
  • Radio: cabin positions 39 – 20 A and 28 – 5 A.
  • Horn: cabin position 24 – 20 A.
  • Low beams: cabin positions 7 and 8 – 10 A each.

FAQ – Ford Expedition 2007-2008 fuses

Where is the cigarette-lighter fuse?

Under-hood position 52 – 20 A.

Where is the fuel-pump fuse?

Relay 18 controls the fuel pump and fuse 32 – 20 A protects the fuel-pump circuit.

Why does fuse 5 have two ratings?

The electric trailer-brake circuit uses 40 A in the 2007 configuration and 30 A in 2008.

Why does fuse 39 have two ratings?

The air-suspension pump uses 50 A in 2007 and 60 A in 2008.

Can I use the 2009-2014 table for a 2008 Expedition?

No. Several cabin and under-hood assignments changed, so the correct model-year table should be used.
