Volvo S60 II (2011-2018) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Relays

Volvo S60 II (2011-2018) has a main engine compartment fuse box, two modules A and B beneath the front passenger glovebox, and a rear luggage compartment unit. Some Start/Stop versions also have a supplementary high-current panel. This guide retains all 166 original fuse table rows in six tables, including unused and variant-specific entries.

Do not confuse additional table rows with additional physical sockets: the engine box has 44 numbered positions but 60 source rows because some positions use different ratings or consumers by engine, equipment or production year. For the early production configuration, see the Volvo S60 II 2010-2011 fuse box diagrams. Always check the original vehicle fuse diagram and the installed fuse rating.

Where are the Volvo S60 II fuse boxes?

Under the bonnet: the main power distribution box for the engine, ABS, steering, wipers, HVAC and other circuits. Under the passenger glovebox: two separate modules A and B, with changes from 2011 to the 2012-2018 arrangement. In the boot: a side-panel fuse block supplying the electric parking brake, heated rear window, trailer and 12 V power. A further high-current block exists on some Start/Stop cars.

Engine compartment fuse box: 44 numbered positions

Position 9 (30 A) supplies front wipers, 11 (40 A) the climate blower, 13 (40 A) the ABS pump, 14 (20 A) the ABS valves and 29 (15 A) the horn. The engine control positions 30 and 35-44 have multiple petrol and diesel variations and must be matched to the correct engine.

Equipment differences can move headlamp washer and heated windscreen functions between positions 8, 12 and 15. Diesel glow plugs and several powertrain sensors have model-year dependent ratings, so do not replace fuses using a different engine’s amperage.

Passenger fuse box A

Fuse box A protects door modules, electric and heated seats, factory audio, Keyless equipment and optional AWD. Fuse 22 (15 A) is used for the center-console 12 V socket in the later layout. AWD fuse position 29 is rated 10 A in 2011-2012 and 15 A in 2013-2018 on equipped cars.

On fitted vehicles, A1 and A2 are 175 A each, fuse 11 (70 A) supplies the auxiliary battery, and position 12 is 15 A in 2012-2015 or 5 A in 2016-2018 for the CEM reference circuit. These are separate variants of the same position. High-current MEGA/MIDI protection should be examined and replaced by qualified service personnel.

Volvo S60 II fuse box FAQ

Where is the passenger compartment fuse box?

Below the passenger glovebox; two independent modules A and B can be fitted.

Which fuse protects the cigarette lighter?

Passenger box A position 22 (15 A) for the console 12 V socket in the reference layout.

Which fuse protects the windscreen wipers?

Engine compartment position 9 (30 A).

Is Start/Stop fuse 12 the same for every model year?

No. The source lists 15 A in 2012-2015 and 5 A in 2016-2018 for the auxiliary battery reference circuit.

Why are there more table rows than fuse numbers?

Several entries describe alternate ratings and consumers for the same physical fuse position, depending on the engine or model year.

Use the original fuse type and the rating specified for the exact car. A repeatedly blowing fuse requires checking the protected components and wiring.
