Volvo C30 (2010-2013) – Fuse Box Diagrams and Ratings

Volvo C30 (2010-2013) is Volvo’s three-door hatchback based on the P1 platform. There are two main fuse panels: under the bonnet beside the battery (36 numbered positions) and beneath the front passenger glovebox (positions 37-86). Some European DRIVe diesel models also have a separate three-entry auxiliary Start/Stop power supply. This guide retains all positions, including unused locations, the original circuit ratings and source diagrams.

Engine, production year, market and optional equipment determine which sockets are populated. The C30 has a rear tailgate wiper but no rear side doors; its assignments cannot simply be copied from the Volvo S40 sedan or C70 hardtop convertible.

Volvo C30 2010-2013 fuse box locations

Engine compartment: open the fuse-box lid beside the battery. The large current fuses in slots 1-18 are normally treated as service-workshop items, while smaller 19-36 fuses can be checked with the appropriate puller and original rating.

Passenger compartment: the second holder is underneath the glovebox. Release the lower trim fasteners, turn the panel retaining clips and lower the unit carefully toward the front passenger seat. Reassemble the clips and trim securely.

C30 cigarette lighter, rear wiper, radio and OBD II fuses

Interior 12 V outlet: cabin position 45 (15 A). Rear hatch wiper and washer: cabin position 48 (15 A) in the documented configuration; front wipers: engine position 17 (30 A).

OBD II diagnostic connector: cabin 57 (15 A), which also includes the brake-light switch. Radio and audio: engine 16 (30 A), with additional control supply at cabin 43, 65 and 66. Fuel pump relay: cabin 74 (15 A). Right and left high beams: cabin 58 and 59 (7.5 A each).

The front right and front left power windows are protected separately by cabin 82 and 83 (25 A each). The sedan’s rear-door power-window fuses do not belong on a C30, which has only two side doors.

C30 2010-2013: petrol, diesel and equipment variations

The updated 2010-2013 reference includes 60 A glow-plug protection for DRIVe D4162T diesels or 70 A on certain five-cylinder diesels. Headlamp washer fuse 11 appears as 30 A in some European references and 20 A in the 2013 USA manual. A separate optional DRIVe Start/Stop block has 125 A, 15 A and 10 A circuits. Optional Keyless access, sunroof, navigation, diesel heating and other equipment can change the fuse population. Use the original car’s fuse cover, wiring information and correct fuse rating.

Other years are covered in Volvo C30 2006-2008 and Volvo C30 2009. For related vehicles with their own assignments, see the Volvo S40 II 2012 and Volvo C70 II 2010-2013. Neither is a safe source for replacing an unidentified C30 fuse.

Volvo C30 2010-2013 fuse box FAQ

Where is the cabin fuse panel?

Under the passenger glovebox, behind the lower trim.

Which fuse is used for the cigarette lighter?

Cabin position 45, rated at 15 A in the documented layout.

Which fuse protects the rear wiper?

Cabin position 48 (15 A) protects the rear tailgate wiper/washer equipment in the referenced chart.

Which fuse supplies the diagnostic OBD II connector?

Cabin position 57 (15 A), also associated with the brake switch.

Can I use a Volvo S40 fuse diagram?

Not for direct replacement choices. The shared platform does not guarantee identical fuse assignments, especially for the rear wiper and rear doors.

Always use the specified original fuse type and rating. If the same fuse blows repeatedly, diagnose the wiring and connected electrical equipment before further use.
